And then we went full frame
After a few years of shooting APS-C I decided I wanted to take a step up in quality and feature set. I watched and read as much as I could and finally settled on the Canon 5D Mk III. This was around 2013, a year after the camera was launched. I loved the camera - the full frame sensor made everything look great, and the user configurability was a game changer. Although I took lots of pictures with the 5D I still didn’t get back to taking photography “seriously”. I mainly used it for holidays, birthdays and celebrations but didn’t head out for much purposeful photography.
That pretty much brings me to the present day. I have been out and about with the 5D Mk III and have really been enjoying using it. I’ve been doing some street photography locally as well as on a couple of foreign trips this year, and have been loving getting back in to photography. I’ve also been looking for local sporting events and have been trying my hand at sports photography. I’m gradually getting used to all the settings and features of the camera and have been having fun.
